Waterways are an important part of our City and are used and valued by the community in different ways.

We have recently invited all members of the Blacktown City community to take a survey and join us in shaping the way we manage our waterways and help us to better understand:

  • cultural and historical significance of waterways to our First Nations People
  • how you value your waterways
  • where you interact with them and
  • your current level of satisfaction with our waterways.

Blacktown City has 262 km of waterways, 130 km of which we are responsible for managing. We do not have sufficient resources to undertake waterway management activities everywhere across our City. Results from the survey will help to inform how and where we prioritise our waterway management activities.

You may have also seen us in person in the following local shopping centres:

Kings Langley Shopping Centre
Thursday 19 September, 9am to 1pm
Seven Hills PlazaFriday 20 September, 9am to 1pm
Eastern Creek QuarterSunday 22 September, 9am to 1pm
