Additional waste service options - proposed amendments to the 2025/26 Goods and services pricing schedule
At its Ordinary meeting on 27 August 2025, Council adopted report CL450049 - Additional domestic waste management services recommending to amend the 2025/26 Goods and services pricing schedule Council proposes to add the following waste service options.
The 2 new proposed fees (Compact and Upsize options) are based on our financial modelling and assumptions of the new service against our contracted prices for processing and disposal of waste collected.
The proposed structure of the new service is:

Compact
140 litre red-lidded waste bin
140 litre green-lidded food and garden waste bin (reduced from 240 litre)
240 litre yellow-lidded recycling bin
$634
$40 reduction compared to the current Standard waste service charge
Upsize to 240 litre food and garden waste bin
80 litre red-lidded waste bin
240 litre green-lidded food and garden waste bin (increased from 140 litre)
240 litre yellow-lidded recycling bin
$40 additional charge to the current Small waste charge applied (including pensioners)
