The Renewed Blacktown Aquatic Centre will provide an elevated swimming experience in the heart of Blacktown City. The exciting new facility will bring a refreshed look to the existing aquatic centre, with more health and fitness facilities, a new café and reception. Other upgrades will include a new indoor 50 metre pool, a new 25 metre program pool for learn-to-swim, refurbishment of the existing outdoor 50 metre pool, inclusive amenities and changerooms, splashpad extension, refurbished multi-purpose fitness and program rooms and enhance landscaping in the outdoor areas.
This facility is the fifth of seven transformational projects Council is delivering as part of funding received from the NSW Government's Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants (WSIG) program.
