Public Hearing Notice for Draft Planning Proposal - Lot 7 DP 231084, Kalunga Lane, Rooty Hill

You are invited to attend a public hearing to discuss the reclassification of Lot 7 DP 231084 Kalunga Lane, Rooty Hill from Community Land to Operational Land and remove public interests in the land. The purpose of the public hearing is to give interested persons the opportunity to have their say on the proposed reclassification of land.

A draft Planning Proposal has been prepared to amend Schedule 4 of Blacktown Local Environmental Plan 2015 and reclassify the land from Community to Operational Land under the Local Government Act 1993 https://legislation.nsw.gov.au/view/html/inforce/current/act-1993-030 and the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 https://legislation.nsw.gov.au/view/html/inforce/current/act-1979-203

The land is currently zoned MU1 Mixed Use under Blacktown Local Environmental Plan 2015. The proposal does not change the zone of the land.

The Planning Proposal was on public exhibition from 26 February 2025 to 4 April 2025 and the submission period has closed for the public exhibition.

Location: Blacktown City Council, 62 Flushcombe Road, Blacktown (Level 5)

Please note:

  • The Council building is closed to the public between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm
  • The staff car park will be available and can be accessed via our Campbell Street entry
  • When you arrive please proceed to the security office, located at the rear entrance.

Any person may attend the public hearing and choose to speak or simply observe.

An independent planning consultant will chair the public hearing, provide information about the proposal and listen to any feedback the attendees may have. They will report the feedback to Council following the public hearing.
